This is a great substitute for the costlier Nikon models.

I searched the Web for reviews on the YN-565EX and found most of then very favorable. My Nikon SB600 had just bit the dust and I needed a replacement, but not at Nikon prices. So, I purchased this. I have not been disappointed. In fact, I like it better than the Nikon. More features, easier function access on the menus, and the big plus is that it has external power capability, which I have already used along with the YongNuo external battery pack. You won't be disappointed.

Sirui 2004 Tripos

This is a truly nice tripod. I've never been impressed with something enough to write a review in the past. But, this had to be the exception because it is very much worth the price. I highly recommend this tripod for it's strength, stability, locking mechanisms, and overall height. Plus, it comes in a very nice carrying case, replaceable feet, and more. The leg clutches keep water and sand out of the legs. The top-end mounting hardware handles either 3/8" or 1/4" cameras and ball mounts, and can be switched in seconds.

Suprisingly good quality

I ordered this for a small DV because the head on my still photo tripod was just not suitable for video panning. I didn't expect much, but the Andoer C9U9 is really good quality for the price. Pan and tilt dampening are very good, with no jerkiness and it's all adjustable. The snap-down quick detach plate is nice, too. Release a lever as you usually do with quick attach plates to remove the camera from the Andeo head, but you can snap the camera back down onto the head when replacing it on the tripod. I recommend this head.
