Good things in small sizes
These are lovely little figures. Nicely detailed and animated. I bought these just to see what they looked like and I was very impressed with the quality of the detail and animation. Some pictures of my effort at painting these are attached - I didn't do too much detail as these were really test pieces. Recommended. I would buy these and similar Zvezda figures again.

Cultural awareness
This is a film about the journey of two Japanese children during the second world war.
The major contribution that this film makes is to help understand the shared experiences of children in times of war and to cross the national and cultural divide that characterises many films about ww2. It does this in a sensitive but practical way. Because it is an animated film there is a sense that this could be in any country and in any war and it observes the effect of that environment on childhood. It would be difficult to realise the object of this film with this subject matter in a more realistic setting.
Apart from being a good film to watch it can be quite educational about the cultural background of Japan in ww2 and help to dispell some common myths.
In parts it's a little too setimental for my taste.
Overall very good.

Nasty, crude but good
Good solid single user first person shooter game - not as good as the sequel/prequel "The old blood". Some parts may be a bit distasteful but then it's a violent game anyway.
