So far, so good!
1 of 1 found this helpful So far I've only watched 3/4 movies, but I'm impressed! Call me a sucker, but I've not only been in the edge of my seat for all 3, but I've cried as well. I started off with The Green Berets. That gave me a whole new perspective and understanding of the Vietnam war and why we were there, despite how gruesome it truly was and how many people died on both sides (which is a whole different topic). The special effects were a little lackluster at times, but remember, this was top notch for the times and I can definitely appreciate that. I can also appreciate The Duke's directing and acting abilities in this one. Not an easy task to accomplish, all rolled into one. I was impressed. Next I watched Bataan. This kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time! Impressive storyline and personalities from each soldier were exhibited here. Nitty gritty, barebones... what more could you ask for in s war movie? Without spoiling anything, It was just sad how quickly things occurred shall we say. And actually, I'm almost finished watching Return to Bataan and i felt compelled to write this review, without even knowing how it ends. Once again, I've been on the edge of my seat, waiting for the finish. I'm very pleased with my purchase and I would highly recommend it. I'm a 39yr old female who enjoys vintage films, including westerns, film noir, romance, comedy, old war films, etc. Hope this is helpful!

Oldie but goodie!
1 of 1 found this helpful I've sen this before and i also was fortunate enough to watch this on the big screen a couple years back through Fathom Events and Turner Classiv Movies for I believe it was the 75th anniversary of the movie (i can't exactly recall), however I hadn't secured a copy of my own. I compared prices between here and Amazon and here on EBay and found a better used price here, so of course I made my purchase here and i can proudly say it is now part of my personal collection. You can't go wrong with Humphrey Bogart, especially in The Maltese Falcon. What a classic! I wish i could say my collection is complete, but alas, there is always something to add! I'm sure I'll be back again soon to purchase something else! What a find and at a great price (previously owned) and in great condition!
