I can now eat regular food!
6 of 6 found this helpful The PermaSoft worked wonderfully! The dentist left 3 pieces of tooth or root in my gums that were sticking out sideways. I had to file enough off the PermaSoft liner to get the plate to go down over the bones that were sticking out. That left an open area below the bones, and made it impossible to have a perfect fit. (No fault of PermaSoft, but entirely my dentist's fault for not taking out all the hard pieces of bone.) I just use a little adhesive product and it works just fine! Anyone with a smooth gum-line should get a perfect fit without using the adhesive.
My dentist said there was nothing else he could do about my new lower plate, unless I wanted to pay a large sum to get a post put in that would snap into the teeth and hold them securely. Before PermaSoft, they would just fall out. I was irritated because he made the teeth and should have relined them or removed the bones. Thanks to PermaSoft, I can eat again! And I saved a lot of money!
