Jamie Lawson has a light gentle but strong voice.
His song's are unique in tempo and words, but the theme is threaded through each of the 11 songs on his CD. He has loved and been loved, He has won and lost in love, He cherishes the smallest gesture of his loved one, He is an optimist for himself and anyone he knows. His voice is strong and gentle at the same time. Most of his songs are just him and his guitar with very little back up. I put the CD in my car the day I got it as I drive a lot, I haven't changed that CD since I got it. Interestingly, no matter how many times I have listened to it, I always catch a message or phrase I missed. Still, my favorite song is "I wasn't expecting that". It brings a tear to my eye every time...in a good way...the words touch my heart in a way that only one who has lost a loved one can understand. I would say that is most of us.
