Excellent label printer
2 of 2 found this helpful I bought this label printer mainly to label bottles of DIY e-liquid with the ingredients list. I have also used it to print labels for many other uses too, such as labelling notebooks for different university modules, plugs, boxes, etc....
Being a mac user I can be a little dubious of older printers as they can sometimes be a little frustrating to set up on later Mac OS operating systems such as Sierra. Thankfully after downloading and installing the driver and P-Touch software for the Brother QL-560 printer, the printer worked flawlessly straight away.
Things I like about this printer:
* Automatic label cutting.
* Automatic label size detection (using the P-Touch software).
* Fairly easy to load and remove label rolls.
* No other consumables to buy as the labels are thermal (no ink/toner required).
* Fast print speed.
* Labels are semi-waterproof (film labels can be bought that are fully waterproof, but more expensive).
* P-Touch recognises the printer as soon as you plug it in, which makes it easy if you pack it away between uses.
Limitations to consider:
* Black printing only (due to the thermal printing technology).
* Maximum width of labels is 62mm.
* P-Touch software is fairly good, but does lack a little in user experience (apparently you can print from MS-Office, but once you work your way around the P-Touch software it has some useful features).
* Requires the user of specific label rolls as the rolls have marking on the back for detecting the cut position and the rolls come with a plastic cradle.
* Print quality isn't extremely high resolution for images, but text is crisp and clear.
All in all these limitations do not effect my use of this label printer, but may be worth considering if you require wider labels or colour printing. If the limitations do not effect you, then I would definitely recommend this label printer.

Great for cutting up for a project
I bought this cable to cut in half and create an external parallel floppy drive for a vintage Toshiba laptop. All 25 pins are cabled individually as well as a seperate chassis ground cable. The conductors are copper based (not cheap aluminium) so you can solder to them with ease. The wires are fairly thin, but suitable for the required use.
All in all, the DIY external floppy drive is working fine, so this cable was worth buying.
