Good for itchiness.
I first used this product on holiday in Austria, It is a clear odourless gel which is effective for gnat bites tic bites and all sorts of irritations. It disappears as soon as you apply it ,giving instant relief.

An Outstanding product
This is not particularly cheap but it is a large jar and lastsa long while. Even it goes a bit dry you can revive it with some turps. I have had some jars for years It comes in a wide range of different shades including one that looks like patinated bronze. I find that the easiest way to apply it is with a fingertip which burnishes at the same time.(Obviously this makes you mucky , but it will come with turps sub).All colours can be mixed. The effect is much better than paint as it has depth and doesn't look fake. If the object you have gilded is going to be rubbed , for example, the back of a chair,it will wear off unless you fix it by varnishing it, This is not necessary on a frame, the gilt will harden off.
