Fiodor Chaliapn remains the classic Basso
1 of 1 found this helpful Command of his register with no loss of depth! Command of the lyrics, What can you expect from recordings the originals of which are ~100 years old? He was a master, never duplicated.

Ms. Peters has done considerable research into the technological, culural and physical world in which her characters lived. Brother Cadfael comes alive because of her familiarity with 12th century life. The people have modern yearnings, but are these are expressed as they would have been during the 12th century. Ms. Peters has a keen eye for drama and has created a compelling series of page turners.
