Dated but still worth the watch
I heard appleseed was a pretty good series, and being made from the creators of ghost in the shell you'd expect that. The only thing that I didn't really like about it was the 3D characters. The making of DVD was a nice edition to the DVD.

If you want a great story, violence and wonderful music this is for you!
Elfen lied is a very strong, graphical anime which consists of 13 episodes and 1 OVA.
It'd been suggested to me on forums and I also looked at other peoples reviews to see what they thought of it. It really has a big fan base and nearly everyone who's seen it would recommend it.
It's story has got to the the anime's best bit, its really shocking straight from the start and at times its very sad. You really get to know the characters and their back-story which helps it wrap everything up.
It's a pretty individual series, there's nothing really that I've seen that's similar, I'd say maybe Gantz. It's similar in the graphical images and the shock of Gantz, but it's tones a lot more serious and some of real life issues confronts.

Very good value for money
Got this to clean the carb on a lawnmower that wouldn't run after being left for a few years. Dismantled the carb and sprayed this all over, let it sit for 10 minutes, reassembled and had it running after a few pulls.
