100% Apple Thunderbolt Display compatible
1 of 1 found this helpful Excellent, high quality, reliable product. Device works perfectly. Using this add-in card in my Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro Hackintosh to pair it with my Apple Thunderbolt Display via Apple's Thunderbolt 3 to 2 adapter. It works!
Unlike my initial build based on Gigabyte Z390 Designare motherboard (with onboard Titan Ridge JHL7540 Thunderbolt chip), which doesn't communicate with Apple Thunderbolt Display at all, this GC-Alpine Ridge add-in card (based on prev. gen Thunderbolt chip DSL6540) finally allowed me to see the image on display right from the moment I press power button on my system. All display functions (camera, speakers, ethernet, all rear ports) are perfectly working without any additional settings. Everything is perfect!
