What's that smell?
2 of 4 found this helpful I have used Bunn coffee makers for two decades without problems, but lately I have to ask, "what happened?" Bunn coffee makers are fast and easy to use, the concept is great, but the ones I have bought lately have an electrical, burning rubber-like smell that is unacceptable. The water stays hot in these units all the time, sort of like mini water heaters, but after mine heated up to operating temperature, it started to emit a nauseating smell that wafted throughout the whole house. i don't know if it is the plastic on the top of the unit or something internal, but I had to send it back. Sorry Bunn, somethings changed, and it smells.
