Rubbish blade
2 of 2 found this helpful Blade is useless, made or some super soft and brittle scrap, sharpened for 2 hours to finally get a mirror perfect edge , couple passes on soft pine and edge gives away and turns to rugged chipped line.
Sharpened to perfect edge twice, and same result afer soft pine the edge chips away.
On my Stanley no5 and no7 I can do soft pine or oak with no issues, buy that as instead.
Faithfull is not a tool, it's just a full size toy replica.

BEWARE this is toy not a real tool
Blade is soft, after sharepening to perfect edge and going few times over softwood pine it turns to rugged scrap, instead of single thin shaving it creates many thin curls and scrathes the timber. Sharpened several times, each time few passes and back to rugged blunt edge. Pictures show edge after couple passes.
Stanly is much better, edge stays sharp and true, can plane softwood and oak with no issue.
This is not a real tool, this looks like stage prop or a full size toy.
