3 of 3 found this helpful Was sceptical about using one of these, never used one before. Our living/dining room & bedrooms are on 1st floor with kitchen and bathroom on the ground floor, we have a two year old who regularly likes to tinkle...too much for a potty now, so thought of this as a solution to save my back and legs constantly running up and down stairs with her (also not nice at night time when she wakes up for wee half asleep). This porta potty is awesome, just put the correct amount of blue solution in base, and pink in the top with water(solutions purchased separately), and away you go! Hardly any smell when emptying (it has been used for a lot of poos too). No leaks, flush is easy and works well. No smell coming from it, well impressed, used it myself many times when feeling lazy. Only niggle is that the plate you pull out to let the wee/poo into the base is on the front so is in the way if you want to use it open, I like to just pull it out slightly so there's a little gap for it to go down which works well, but its definitely in the way for little one as that's where her feet are and she can kick it shut, not a big issue, just pull it open & flush after she's done. As we have a toddler seat on top and a step she has even taken herself to the toilet, which shocked me as she didn't do that with a potty or regular toilet! WIN! (oh by the way, I use a separate bin with lid for the wipes & toilet paper, as you can't use regular toilet paper with this, it will clog apparently, you need Thetford toilet paper to do that) xx
