The LED that could.
Finally deciding to stick a guide onto the dw717xe, I stumbled across this LED system as an alternative to the laser guide. Whilst it requires a tiny bit of fiddling to install (just to keep wires clear during installation) the end result is a simple and accurate system. The LED provides a good amount of white light over your work area but the best part is how it casts a shadow over your saw blade. The result of this is an accurate guide line that matches the kerf of your blade onto your work piece. If accuracy is your thing (which it probably is if you are using one of these DeWalt saws in the first place) this is the system to get. It's the upgrade you never knew you wanted.
