Well made good value but unfortunately not a completely universal adaptor.
I bought this to format the hard drive from an old laptop but as it won't fit the drive I haven't yet had the chance to use it. The hard drive in question is a Toshiba HDD2D61 from a HP laptop that is around 10 years old. The connections are nothing like any of those offered by the adaptor...
In spite of this drawback the adaptor appears to be well constructed and the supplied leads good quality. I am sure it will come in handy in the future, though obviously not for HP laptops.
This disadvantage is surely not unknown (HP laptops aren't uncommon) so it would have been helpful if a note about this was included. The enclosed instructions are clear and easy to understand though so brief the user should have a good idea how to proceed and what to expect before starting.

A functional helpful design; reasonable value.
1 of 1 found this helpful Several years ago I bought a pair of these pliers from Silverline for removing spin-on oil filters (some cars and vans) and I thought I would treat my plumbing kit to a pair. They arrived quickly but one of the soft jaws was missing but not to worry as the supplier sent a replacement by first-class post.
Although apparently identical to the original, this pair needs "tweaking" as there is something slightly different about them - making them seem comparatively stiff and awkward to use. They worked under my daughter's kitchen sink but one day soon I must take a closer look at them. I conclude they are functional but the originals were somewhat better value...

Better value than most comparable examples...
While not exactly office quality, it is far below office quality prices yet is more than adequate for domestic purposes and should provide years of use without falling to bits and at a very reasonable cost. I am quite impressed.
