Fifteen years of value
4 of 4 found this helpful Even over a decade later the PS3 still holds up as a great console. Modern consoles are filled with ads all over the dashboard, constant and huge updates for games, and the games themselves are increasingly online-centric. With a PS3, you're still getting a lot of modern staple features without all the extra bloat. Load times are decent, games are only a few GB's in size and not 40+ like modern games, it plays blu-rays, and it's got an amazing library of games to choose from. I've had a PS4 for years and the only two games on it I like that aren't also on PS3 are Bloodborne and Ghost of Tsushima. If you buy a PS3 today, you will get a great system and great games at a great price.
