If it ain't broke, leave it the F**K alone!!
1 of 1 found this helpful There are times in cinema when the director decides that he knows more than the studio he is contracted to, and often times he could easily be right. In this situation though after watching Payback for the first time as it was originally released and then having the misfortune of purchasing the Director's Cut i instantly discovered that this was an instance in which the director's view was no where near the audience's pulse of satisfaction. In short this version of the movie by far outweighs the quality of the so-called "better" director's cut.

WHY BLU-RAY?
If there were ever a method to truly appreciate the gift of sight and sound that we were blessed with, then the Blu-ray method had definately come in full circle with what we should expect in our own personal time and home. This is definately the way home entertainment should hold it's standards, anything less would be unacceptable to the artists that commit their life and time to film. The same must be said for those that appreciate the art of film.
