Superb Book
Sagan was an amazing science communicator and this book is fabulous. As with many science books they date as we learn more but that does not take away anything from this title. The Blue Dot soliloquy in chapter one is just a stunning bit of writing and can be heard in Sagan’s own voice on the net... really sums up our position in the universe and the insanity of human belief of self importance! If you only read that chapter, it is worth every penny!

Science writing at its best
Carl Sagan was clearly a poet as well as a scientist. This book is superb... I read it when it first came out, but re-reading it now I realised how I had nor appreciated its brilliance and beauty back then. Everyone should read this as it is truly inspiring!!!
