The only picture she made where she actually carried the story with her talent, not boobs. A must have for any student of Monroe.

Very good movie

The debate was ongoing about whether or not Monroe had any talent as a serious actress when this movie was made. True to form she had received yet another script that did not have much of a speaking part for her, relying heavily on her nonverbal communication skills. This she pulls off effortlessly and we are left feeling that she has left too early (spoiler alert!) when the cuckhholded Joseph Cotton corners her in an isolated and deserted section of a building. She would be critiqued by critics for her splendid physicality but the nuance of her silence and its affect on establishing mood for the movie, enhancing Cotton's desperation, would go unmentioned. Niagra is a must see for any student of Marilyn's career.
