If you want to REALLY understand horses, get this book.
Henry Blake was a superb 'horse whisperer' who believed in understanding horses as individuals, and tailoring the training of each animal to suit their personality.
I bought this book as a spare copy, as my first copy is in constant use and will eventually fall to pieces.
I love Blake's very un-PC, down to earth approach to his horses and his work. His utter dedication and love of horses and every form of activity which can be enjoyed with them comes through again and again.
Be prepared to keep an open mind though, as Blake puts forward some pretty interesting ideas.
This should be compulsory reading far anyone contemplating horse ownership and Blake was sadly under recognised for this work... not that I suspect he was too bothered.
