Wonderful addition to a historic cookbook collection
I was thrilled to find this out-of-print book on eBay at a price for about what it originally sold for. I used it to prepare recipes for a Titanic-themed book club I hosted. The food turned out to be delicious and everyone loved it! It was great to be able to explain the history of the dishes we were eating to go along with the book club discussion, knowing the food was a close approximation of what the actual first-class passengers ate at their last meal. (The menu survived but the actual recipes did not.) The book is beautifully illustrated with paintings and photos, and contains many interesting facts about the culinary history of the food served. I highly recommend this book for anyone interested in Titanic history or who is considering hosting a Titanic-themed event.
