Great performance and perfect for me but battery life may concern you.
1 of 2 found this helpful There are very few tablets on the market today that would interest me. I've tried Android and Win RT, I HATE apple with a passion and needed something that can handle web and graphics design (to a degree), my windows programs I use at home and gaming on the move.
I suppose I could have had a laptop. Space was limited where I needed it to be placed. I run a private hire company and carry out long distance executive travel, weddings and other events. There can be alot of waiting time involved. I also run a small electronics business and web design company. As you would imagine time management is key to running two firms such as this. With a tablet like this I could mount it in the car for use during waiting times.
The full size USB port is key. I run a route hub under the dash and can plug in a 128GB pendrive with my worked stored, mouse, keyboard, 360 game controller and some other devices. Steam and Origin work well and as long as I changed the sleep settings and keep in on power it's pretty effective. Don't expect the latest games to run at max fps (it is running an Intel HD graphics chip) but performance was acceptable and older titles like C&C and Overlord ran pretty well during testing.
I was able to get a leather case and modified it as a mounting kit for the sun visor for under £10 and a 12v car adapter pretty easily (I did splice it into the car fuse box though as the cigarette lighter socket is bulky and gets in the way). So with very little extra expense I had a desktop replacement that allowed me to have a mobile office!
Battery life will never be impressive on a tablet running a core i5, it's just never going to happen. On test I was lucky to get an hour driving it as hard as I do. There are 12v powerbanks available but bulky extras are never ideal. With the weight as it is I think it was probably just as well it was never designed with a bigger battery as it can get quite heavy after a while in the hand.
Overall, there's nothing else out there I have found like it. Great performance for a tablet and with full blood windows there's very little I cannot install or run. The battery life and weight issues are not a problem for me but may big others depending on how buyers intend to use this device. It is a worthy desktop replacement if there is very little space to work with but given more room I would build a custom desktop rig.
