Fishman Presys Blend Onboard Preamp Guitar Piezo Pickup EQ 4 Band with Mic

Preamp with attention to detail
Fishman has given a lot thought to details on this preamp.
First it is compact and mounts on a flat service.
To keep it small the unit is hinged so the battery is hidden
underneath – just pivot the preamp to replace it.
The controls are rotary dial with a stop in the mid position.
There are both notch and phase buttons to control possible internal
feedback. Comes also with built in tuner that is easy to read.
The unit has both piezo pickup and a mic. The mic has no goose neck
but it mounted on the lowest part possible. Should you choose to
mount the mic in a different location of your instrument the mic wires
are easy to get to.
The mic has to adjustment knobs the second one is on the inside and requires
a small screw driver (for more permanent adjustment).
The piezo pickup is flexible and thin, 1.5 mm comparing to others at 3.0 mm thickness.
Unfortunately the piezo wire has no plug or jack but is soldered in place making
installation a little bit more awkward.
This is the only preamp that I encountered that has a mounting plate/plugs - giving the holding screws something to grip on to.
Prize is relative. I use less expensive preamps for my stomp boxes that perform very well - it all depends on what your needs are.
Finally Fishman included a users manual that is clearly written with great drawings - so I can get the most out of the preamp in a performance setting.
