Adequate.
It does what it promises: records DTMF and FSK data and date-stamps it.
DTMF data is for outgoing calls. The phone keyboard generates DualToneMultiFunction signals. This device records the numbers entered on the keyboard, the time of the call and its duration.
FSK data is Frequency Shift Keying and comes down the line to your phone. It contains the number that is calling you, and the time. (No data from unlisted numbers.) Note that FSK can be spoofed.
The manual is difficult to understand and seems to refer to another model.
You probably won't be all to use this on the NBN.

3 of 3 found this helpful Relay closes on 4.5v. Draws 35mA when closed. Pin-out is little unusual but is printed on base of relay. As usual legs are flimsy so care is needed when soldering. Fair average quality.

Versatile, advanced technology and cheap as chips.
The module produces RF from 35.0000 MHz to 4.4000 GHz (note the level of accuracy).
The module can produce a single, stable frequency. It also produces a sweeping frequency across a specified range.
You would buy this module if you wanted a cheap and cheerful RF signal generator for VHF through to microwave. The sweep facility allows testing of filters, cables, antennas and other frequency-dependent devices and circuits.
It could also be used for a one-off RF oscillator for a beacon or some other application where you needed to generate a stable single frequency. It could also be used to generate a Chirp-type signal for an application such as a radar or sounder, or to test if propagation was frequency dependent on a path.
The opening screen displays, and allows you to change:
- the clock frequency (wisest not to change this, unless you know what you are doing. Read the ADF4351 data sheet first!);
- the Point frequency (for when you want a single frequency);
- and the start and stop frequencies for the you want to sweep, as well as the sweep step.
All changes are retained at power-off as long as the 5V supply is connected. There is provision for Reset button, but it is not fitted.
Other screens change the point, start, stop and step frequencies. you can also modify the amplitude.
RF output is a clean sine wave, at least as far as my instruments were able to measure it.
Amplitude is 4dBm in VHF (about 2.5mW), but this falls off at higher frequencies, probably because third and fifth harmonics are being used. Still, at higher frequencies this is useful on its own.
There is no ability to modulate the signal and the format is not physically robust. You have no control over the sweep period.
Excellent value for money. Amazing how many complex devices are now available to the hobbyist and experimenter.
