First Spanish Reader: A Beginner's Dual-Language Book (Beginners' Guides)

Great little first reader and easy to carry around to read at odd moments.

Really good starting point as library has nothing to offer. Also great as has some very short stories, some longer stories and some odd proverbs. The stories come from works as far back as the 12th century and up to the 1960's so maybe won't suit those expecting 21st century colloquial spanish and I might have to cross-reference some expressions as they may not be used in same way today. But doesn't matter as good reading practice. Great opposite page translation plus exercises and vocab at back.

invaluable and a great price.

As a beginner learner but not absolute beginner, it is very helpful as a quick check for regular and irregular and reflexive verbs for my reading comprehension. It is also generally interesting and explains a lot of things I didn't understand, in the pages at the beginning of the book. I can see it will become ever more useful.
