A silent filter
Eheim or Fluval. The neverending debate. I won’t settle this question. All I can tell you is the Fluval 407 is very quiet. It is easy to set up (although tubing is a bit stiff). For someone who wants inline co2 I would go for eheim as the tubing is not rippled and you would’t have to hack your way around to install. I run it in tank so not an issue for me. It is a powerful filter and very silent. It is in my room on a 90g tank and all I can hear are the hobs running in the living room 20 feet away. Maintenance is easy and for those who might still own a 404, there are many improvements. The baskets are held by a long stick that goes trouvh them so that they can be removed all at once. The quality of the moving pieces ( in and outake shutoff; tubing holding pins; cover pins) are of better quality even though still plastic. It is a great quality filter and should last for years.
