It's been awhile since there was a truely gruesome vampire flick.
The way they are portrayed aren't as noble aristocrats or soap
opera teenagers, but as brutal, ruthless, animalistic monsters.
Though it's based on the original graphic novel, the concept is
original and truly ingenious, as the arctic region goes through longer
periods of night and day, a helpless town gets caught in the wake of
a clans arrival just as a nocturnal cycle begins. Perfect conditions
for vampires and for any horror fans that appreciate their violence,
there is a lot of blood and gore that ensues.
Not much is revealed about their existence and there isn't much depth
to plot, just as it is watching whether or not the characters can
survive, but this shouldn't be an issue if you just want to be entertained
visually.
Plus the DVD comes with the first pilot episode of Blood + (an anime
series of the vampire genre) which is worth a look as well.

Undeniable classic.
It goes without saying that this is one of the greatest anime movies.
Ninja scroll is raw, violent, and doesn't hold back on the carnage. Which it
truely shouldn't considering its pertaining to ninjas and demons.
Story isn't complicated and by no means is something to think much about, but if
you're a fan of the visceral and like your anime of the highest of visual quality,
then by all means watch this.

Best RE film as of now.
Is this the most faithful movie for the video game series?
Unlike the live-action films, yes.
Degeneration is a directly told story of what became of Claire and Leon
after the event of Raccoon City in RE2. While the CGI effects are visually
amazing (though everything seems to have a oddly smooth finish), the movie
does have its minor faults. While it's cool to see the same voice actors for
Leon and Claire take their respective roles in movie, as they did in the game,
the dialogue at times is somewhat, laughably cheesy. However, that's not to
say that the games were any different.
Asides from the cliches in the story, as a fan of the video game series, I
couldn't help, but to be disappointed in the lack of monstrosities. That and
the lack of truly gory chaos. In comparison to the games, the violence seemed
fairly tamed in the movie.
While any general horror fan could appreciate this movie, to me, there is too
many references that not having an extensive knowledge of the RE universe, a
casual viewer could be alienated and confused. This, undeniably, was made for
hardcore fans.
Degeneration is by far, the best RE flick, but still can't trump playing any
of the original games in terms of the experience.
