Not up to the job

This is made of flimsy plastic so doesn't feel sturdy enough to me, but the main problem is that the lid doesn't fit tightly at all. There is no seal round it, so if the bin was knocked into the whole thing could tip over and all the contents would fall out as the lid would just fall off. I bought it for storing dog kibble and have done so as I needed a container quickly but I have had to stick tape all round the join between the lid and the container, and have hidden the container well back under a table with other items in front as I'm worried that if my dog gave it a bit of a shove he could easily tip the food out. I have another container that I bought years ago shaped like a barrel with a zip-up lid which is amazingly strong and dog-proof but I can't find one like that any more.
