This lens will surprise you!

This is a really good lens. To me it's a nice AF 28mm f/3.3G lens that goes to f/22. At 80mm you get f/5.6 to f/40. Images are almost always in focus and the AF is pretty fast. You need to pickup a 58-to-62mm step-up ring or even 58-67mm to help handle the wide angle if you use a rubber hood like I do. The zoom ring is pretty good too compare to other plastic lenses. Mine doesn't stick. It's an amazing value and surprising how with all the lenses I own this one keeps ending up on my camera. It would get 5 stars if it were a fixed aperture. That's the only drawback.

This is one of my favorite lenses.

This is one of my favorite lenses for my D7000. This lens is very sharp with extremely nice bokeh. It's great for head shots and animal photography.
