Fine performance and packs a punch
1 of 2 found this helpful I purchased the unit to possibly replace a small self-powered 800 milliwatt transmitter, which I could pick up around 2 miles away but had to use mono because stereo would be noisy. Not only did this Whole House unit give at least the same range, it did so more powerfully and with a clean stereo signal, and operated reliably for as long as I cared to use it whether a few hours or all day.
Like other basic-level units it is susceptible to grounding hum. I was able to eliminate it using clean power and carefully arranging my cables. It is also susceptible to overload problems so it's necessary to find a "sweet spot" on incoming levels. Once I fine-tuned these two calibrations I got clean reliable stereo signal with a range of up to five miles.

Content: Meh, could have been better; Sequencing: Awful
Quality and value depend on the listener but I found it disappointing. Disc 1 leans to the commercial, "safe" element while Disc 2 gets a bit more creative. The problem is that most of the package (both discs) are sonically glued together with segues nobody asked for; one track blends right into the next. Maybe you wanted to hear track 2 without the overlapping incursion of track 3? Think again. Terrible way to sequence a CD. Overall there are a few worthy tracks but fewer than I would have liked.
