Solid, Top Quality - Made In Texas
You need a cane to walk, but don't want something that looks like it belongs in a convalescent center. At the same time, you don't want a great looking stage prop that'll break or slip out from under you when you put your weight on it. This is a very well made red oak cane with a substantial, non-slip rubber tip, that's handsome, classy, strong, and won't let you down. I love mine!

Great Idea, But Falls Short of Expectations
I bought this XXS size, because that's what's recommended for a 3/0 Penn 112H Senator. It fit the reel the same way a wet suit fits a diver - TIGHT. I found it a nuisance to try to stretch it over the reel, so I tried it over the smaller 2/0 Penn 145 Squidder. The fit was better, but I wasn't happy with the cutout area where the strap is located, or the length of the velcro'd strap. I also don't like that the cover is made so that the reel handle remains unprotected outside of the cover, since I'm no more keen about the handle getting scraped and scarred than the rest of the reel.
A word about my ratings;
1) Would I recommend it? No, I wouldn't recommend it. I think it's a great idea that someone needs to improve upon. If you don't care that the handle remains exposed, and feel you have to have one, I'd suggest considering a size larger than recommended for your reel - unless, of course, you're one of those people who like your clothes so tight that you need a shoe horn to get into them, then it might be just right for you.
2) Is it a good value? Only if it works for you. It didn't work for me.
3) Is it of good quality? It seemed to be made well enough, but I didn't have it long enough to see how it would hold up in the long run. And as previously stated, I'm not knocked out by the design. I think there are better solutions for protecting your reels. Be creative.

Big Bang For The Buck
Nice rod for a decent price, good action, casts well with 4oz weight + bait. Cheap guides are the only thing that keep this from getting a full five stars.
