Worked for me
The on/off button on my old control had pretty well packed in. Tried a 'compatible' remote control which turned out to be rather useless. So thought I'd take a gamble on this one despite a slightly different model number. Arrived quickly and it worked. The so called compatible is now an ornament.

Plug it in and it works, despite convoluted mains wiring
Wanted to network my old W7 PC to my new W10 PC. Trouble is the new PC is in my study whereas the W7 machine is stuck in a garden chalet connected to the house mains by some dubious wiring - by dubious I don't mean unsafe but it's over 20 years old and possibly not conforming to modern standards. This also meant that advice to connect without recourse to extensions had, in effect, to be ignored. This gave no problems and the home network showed up as connected. Once I sussed out that it was necessary to reinstall my printer drivers in order to print from the W7 PC to the printer connected to the W10 PC. everything worked.
