Great phone, great battery
I prefer a compact phone, and it’s very difficult to find one these days, especially as I don’t really want to sacrifice speed, storage or battery life. I’d been using a Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact with a sd card, but the battery had started to need a top up charge to last a full day, so I looked for an upgrade.
The Pixel 5 featured in all the lists of best compact Android phones, and was the most recently released. It was apparently fast & had a large battery. I preferred the green colour & was willing to pay a bit more for one, but I also love a bargain - so when I saw this refurbished model, I snapped it up.
I’m very pleased with the speed, storage, battery life & stupid things like the sounds available on the phone (hate the preloaded Samsung sounds). It’s a bit too big to be ideal, but is just about usable with 1 hand. I was initially a bit disappointed with the screen scratches - I ha been told about them but the description had said they were very minor & impossible to photograph & weren’t noticeable when using.
When you first get your phone, it’s switched off, so I did notice them a lot on the black screen. However, I’ve applied a screen protector, and now they’re unnoticeable.
