A great radio given there are no better options :)

I've purchased 2 of these for my 1990 and 1992 cars, largely because of the asthetics of the radio, being a digital only device and including bluetooth. Honestly these are no better (or worse) than a number of similar featured units one could purchase for 1/4-1/2 of the cost BUT in several years of browsing the VDO Continental is the ONLY radio that is available brand new, with modern technology but a faceplate that looks to belong in an 80s-90s car. Alternatives include hacked vintage units, a handful of offerings by notable nameplates that are MUCH more expensive than this or rebuilt OEM units, all with varying downsides. That said, the radio sounds fine if you are not an audiophile, the BT works well and it does all the usual functions of an automotive noise maker without a fuss. Please note that these do not come with wiring harnesses unless otherwise specified so you must order one separately (I got mine from a US vendor for $8 in a couple of days). The wiring is also a little cryptic but nothing terribly difficult if you have ever seen the backside of an aftermarket radio.
