Anne of Green Gables Cartoon Series
Though this video series is far from faithful to the books, it is a very sweet program that stresses good morals and values. I am extremely strict about what my children are allowed to watch, and this is one of the few cartoons that I have no problems with whatsoever.

Not what I was looking for
I was looking for a book where I could find some useful budgeting tips or ideas to stretch a dollar. This book contains neither. It's more like a Sophie Kinsella novel with the author detailing her obsessive spending and shopaholic behavior. Most of the "advice" is useless, but some is truly awful. For example how she encourages the reader to donate any and all items, despite their age or value, for the soul purpose of eliminating clutter then details her $500 Target spending sprees to fill her own home up with more stuff. I also thought the one about spending an hour a day, everyday, cleaning your house was laughable. I hated how she kept deferring to her website where you can purchase numerous books, planners and printables. I think the authors heart is in the right place, but feels a little bit like taking sobriety counseling from a practicing alcoholic. Not to mention she's all over the place in her writing. None of the chapters follow the theme set by the chapter title, and the quotes and scriptures she uses have nothing to do with the content. If you are looking for real, useful advice on budgeting and living well I highly recommend anything by Steve and Annette Economides. As for this book, save your money.

A must have for every pregnancy
I have made sure to have the most recent edition of this book on hand through all of my pregnancies. Now that I am expecting baby #4, I was sure to order the latest version. It's probably the most reassuring book you can read when you are in those sketchy days of your first trimester. It's nice to be able to see what your baby and body should be doing exactly when they should be doing it. The fact that the sections are bite-sized keeps you informed without being overwhelming, but it is so easy to navigate that you can look forward in your pregnancy to be prepared and know what to expect. It's amazing how much you forget from one pregnancy to the next; it's nice that I have this book to go back to to refresh my memory and update me on the latest trends and medical advice.
