It works ,but slowly, but it makes the boiled water. Have a horrid plasticy taste , so much so it makes coffee-tea ECT undrinkable ???

I will try boiling nd emptying it 3 to 6 times and then rebook a cold water fill to boiling and make a coffee and taste test if no good still back for a refund. IT MAKES ME WONDER IF ITS BEEN MADE WITH FOOD GRADE PLASTIC ??? OR INFERIOR TOXIC LEAKING PLASTIC ECT ??? I HOPE NOT BUT THIS NEEDS TO BE SERIOUSLY CHECKED FOR SAFETY ISSUES. I WILL ADVISE AFTER THE 3-4 TEST BOILS AND FRESH WATER FILLSVAND THEN THE FINAL RETEST USEING COLD WATER TO A BOIL AND COFFEE TASTE TEST. REGARDS KEN IN AUSTRALIA.
