Functionally Very Good Headphones for Spoken Speech

I purchased these headphones to listen to TV shows while I am on my treadmill. They are very good for this purpose. They are NOT good for extended session (approx. 1 hour or more) or for listening to music unless it is background. Audiophiles had better run. These headphones appear to be engineered for the spoken speech (not opera) portion of the band with musical presentation as a sidelight. They would be perfect for other applications such as CB or ham radio, recorded speech, and monitoring. The headband is snug with poor adjustment for this factor. Notice that these are designed for head sizes up to grade 12. The ear muffs can be easily adjusted vertically. Ears fit inside the muffs but not very comfortably. For short time durations they are fine. Durability of the muffs' material could not be determined. The rest of the headphones appear to be quite durable. I especially like the coiled cord which is very helpful at keeping the cord out of the way and the separate volume controls. These headphones remind me of the ones I used 50 years ago in a language lab so keep that in mind. Recommended for non-musical purposes..

Perfect

My old controller wore out after 24 years of use. This is an exact replacement. All that was needed to activate was to open the case, change one code switch (check the opener for the correct setting), and close the cover. It even comes with a battery. Works perfectly.
