Good workhourse lens

I dont think this was ever one of Canons stellor lenses. But it was reasonably priced, had a good focal range, and it got the job done. The lens I purchased still met those requirements as a replacement for a similar lens that was stolen in Europe, and I am happy to have this replacement lens in my bag again!!

Almost pro

This is a great camera with what appears to be the same processor and sensor as the pro level cameras above it. One reason I purchased this model is because it has LANC connectivity, so that when I mount the camera on a studio tripod, I can control the zoom with a thumb control on the handle of the tripod. Video quality is excellent, and the zoom control - even on the camera - is very smooth and controllable.
