    VERY firm
    These knee pads are VERY firm. For me, that was good, because the original knee pads were very soft, and my knee would end up riding on the metal. The new one took some getting used to, but overall, I like them. Wish other replacement parts were available somewhere!

    One AWFUL design
    This device cannot be opened in any manner that does not damage it. The instructions are physically impossible to follow. Any other method (i.e., prying) destroys the case and/or the batteries inside. An absolutely awful design!
