Classic Films, an alternative to boring CGI movies.

An absolute classic British film, representing great entertainment. This film truly gives an accurate insight to the plight of this country and it's fighting men, during it's most recent dark times. It also gives younger generations of people in this country, a reason to be grateful to those that served and saved this country during the second world war. If you are fed up with CGI (computer generated images)films produced today, as many are; then watch this or a classic film like this. The acting is superb and the action shots hard worked and genuine feats of film making. Well worth watching and owning, buy it if you can.

A Must watch film.

This is a perfectly acted and believable story line. The backdrops are stunningly beautiful. I saw this back in the 70's and have always made a point of watching it when it was scheduled for TV. Now I have it on DVD, I can watch it when ever I want. The film has always left me wanting more at it's finish, which is exactly how a film should leave you; pondering what ever happened to Jeremiah. This does not mean a sequel should have been done nor should it be done, the length and content of this movie is brilliant. It illustrates perfectly, the frailty of human life and it's societies and how quickly one's actions can change everything. This is a brilliant film and will go down as one of the many unsung top movies.
