Rad valve caps
0 of 1 found this helpful Fitted to old rads where the old caps had perished and wouldn't turn the valve. These replacements worked a treat.

Excellent and useful
Really useful addition to tool bag. Gives a very accurate cut on the pull with very fine kerf.
Also good for cutting flush to other timber without damage eg sawing pegs off flush.

Rust proofing
Very user friendly. Treated the inside of a narrowboat water tank. Worst bit was removing 2 to 3 kg of rust build up, but once done applying Vactan was easy. No strong solvent base so ideal for applying in confined space, Applied with a roller and easy to see where it's gone cos it leaves a grey/white surface which dries to a black lacquered finish. Roller easily cleaned with water.
Well pleased with finish after a year. A few perforations but considering the state of the tank it was much better than expected.
I've used Fertan before which turns rust to black oxide but then needs a coat of paint to prevent further rusting whereas Vactan seems to also incorporate a lacquer which does the sealing. Great product.
