What a bargain!!!

Low price, very responsive triggering with a Roland TD-11 drum sound module using a PD-8 default tom pad setting. Compared to the Roland PD-8, this Simmons SD350 tom pad is head and shoulders above for price/performance. The two ply mesh head feels good to play on. Overall excellent value for a single zone 8" electronic drum pad.
