Fugoo Style XL Rugged Bluetooth Waterproof Wireless Speaker FXLSTSN01

I already have the smaller Fugoo tough and am delighted with it. I bought the XL to use on my narrowboat, specifically to use outside, while I'm on the tiller moving the boat. I wanted the larger speaker so I could hear it above the noise of the engine, and the style model , because as well as being waterproof, it floats, so if it ends up in the canal I should be able to fish it out ! I have been using it for over a week now and it has performed faultlessly. Once paired with my iPhone it connects instantly every time the speakers switched on. The volume is more than enough to cope with the engine noise, without distortion at full volume, and plays for days between charges. My iPhone stays connected with the speaker when I'm off the boat and although I haven't tested specific distance, it stays connected when I'm over a boat length away from it, which is over 120 feet. Two accessories I would definitely recommend with this unit is the carry strap, it is quite heavy and the shape of it makes it awkward to pick up & hang onto with my crappy old arthritic hands. The other is the remote control, which comes with a wristband, and especially useful for turning down offensive music, i.e. The pistols, friggin in the rigging, when another boater heads in your direction who's even older and more humourless than me. All in all this is an extremely well thought out well made product. I hope that time will prove it to equally durable. It's just a shame that Fugoo doesn't officially sell this speaker in the UK , and I had to purchase it from the USA.

Delighted

Excellent replacement display screen. Works brilliantly. Saved a much loved old radio from landfill. One tip I would give is dismantle your radio and remove the old display screen before ordering. That way you know you’re capable of fitting the new one back in. I only have basic tools and no soldering iron, but found this a fairly straightforward job if slightly fiddly. I prefer the white screen display to the old yellow one.

Hope I never find out how good this is.

Hard to tell if this alarm is top notch until your house has burned down and you survived. However it is well made easy to fit and has gone off when I burnt my dinner !
