Not really heavy duty
It is a good product but I expected a much heavier duty mat. The black trim is thin and not a thick, stiff edge as I hoped.

Nice shape and colour
Difficult to read the water level which matters when you only want one cup as there is a minimum level below which you should not boil the kettle. The body and lid get very hot unlike my old plastic kettle so you have to be careful. The lid is quite stiff but you do not want it coming off when pouring boiling water. I like the shape and colour and the handle is nice to grip.
