Order cancelled without any explanation. Sent many messages asking why. Eventually got a reply saying check messages for reason but no reason given. I asked again and again. No response. Refund took over a week. Still have no idea why I didn’t get the record, I assume they got a better offer. Very disappointing. Avoid!

Ignore this ebayer! I sent a refund the very next day, THAT IS DOWN TO EBAY! I contacted him to tell him the reason why- I DIDN'T HAVE A COPY in stock- the photos were old ones of previous copies I had sold! My fault, for which I apologised. I DID NOT HAVE A BETTER OFFER! They should have checked their messages!

The lone ranger rides again!
An embryonic meeting with a character that was to become a huge favourite during the late 1980s and early 90's,"Boon" staring the late, great Michael Elphick, gives an insight to the hard exterior that is trouble shooter Ken Boon. After being invalided out of the Fire brigade, Boon sets himself up as a market gardener, and after meeting up with best pal Harry Crawford, (now running a rather down market hotel), he gets himself into various scrapes with his advertised help "BOX 13- anything legal considered". This book simply sketches the storylines of the first two episodes of Boon, Box 13& Fools rush in- an anarchic pop group and a man who has lost his memory- and it is an enjoyable enough read. It can't of course give the same enjoyment as the tv series (a minor classic in my view, and still well loved to this day-get the dvds folks!) but it is a starter point or indeed a bonus for a longtime fan (me). All in all, a decent read, and a bargain at 99p. Hi ho silver!

"THE CONFECTIONARY STALL"
A "film" (ie:Documentary)about what has become one of the most famous sporting events in English sporting history was always going to be difficult, baring in mind there must have been around a dozen tv programmes made. Still the producers did a great job and a host of cricketing legends are interviewed about that tumultuous summer. Been just a child at the time, it has only passing hazy memories although I can remember been elated after the Headingly test and telling one of my nan's neighbours that "We've won!" only to be told off for "telling fibs" (England were all but down and out for about 90% of the game. Still, it reminds us of what a great and iconic cricketer Botham was,the boyhood hero of a million kids (I was one after this) who would find fame almost too much as the decade wore on. The film is well put together, spliced with vintage clips of burning buildings, upturned cars, and Australians with moustaches. It is narrated by Tom Hardy whose slow measured growl fits perfectly with the action. All in all a great look back at an iconic test series in an England which was so different than that of today. An England of riots, financial hardship, royal weddings, an underfire and hated government.... Highly recommended.
