Good book. Very informative.
Excellent pictures. Varieties are slightly dated due to age of publication but old stalwarts are there plus lots of unusual ones, and the history and growing advice are still relevant.

Fantastic Pen
This is a big pen but is well balanced and feels surprisingly light in use. The line is a Chinese medium therefore more of a Western medium/fine. There's little to no flex in the nib so it's more of an everyday writer than a calligraphy pen. The line is wet enough to maintain a fast hand if it's required, and the nib puts up just enough resistance to control a rapid hand. It's not as smooth as a Lamy or a Pelikan, but you couldn't expect it to be at £2.58 including postage from China! My advice is buy it and make sure you have some good quality ink to do it justice.
