The title fits the story to a tee.
This is a compelling true story about how a woman was able to travel across the country with a horse and a dog. The times were different in the 50's and there were people who were more than willing to help her along the way. They even helped get her a 2nd horse to help on the trip. Although there was a very sad time where he almost gave up, there were others to help her keep going and she did finally reach here destination.

Great for cat lovers.
This is a true story told from the viewpoint of the cat. I very much enjoyed it.
