L18200 NX zoom lens with huge range
I already own a 50mm to 200mm NX zoom. But I wanted a lens that I could use on trips (particularly abroad) with which I could do almost any photographic work. This zoom completely fits the bill. It has the benefit of the wide angle for landscapes and the zoom for that odd wildlife shot (and pretty well everything in between)
All of these system lenses are something of a compromise (a prime wide angle and prime telephoto would be the optimum) but for the ease of only needing to take one lens with one camera body the L18200 was perfect and helped keep the weight of kit down!
The quality of the images was generally very good and the low aperture (3.5) means it is still usable in relatively low light.
The only real downside is the weight. On camera it is quite heavy and at full zoom you need to use a tripod or monopod to get the really sharpest results.
This particular buy was a bargain as I ended up paying little more than half price for a nearly new lens.
All in all I'm really pleased with it.
