my review for the sony rdr hxd860 160gb dvd r hdd rec
i actualy down graided when i bought this item so i didnt no what to exspect,i am quite pleased, its easy enough to use and quite similer to the other model i had which i think was the 890s also by sony,a few times its turned its self off which is a bit anoying ,but for more than half the price of the other model i wouldnt let it put you off,and theres no jukebox for storing your cds on like the 890s but everyhting else is the same i think just maybe a little slower, cant compare it to eney other dvd r only ever had 2 and its good enough for what i need it for, i bought this item because its sony and because it has hdmi, and i thought the price was good ,i made them an offer and they exsepted it, got 11% off ok.I HOPE I HAVE BEEN HELPFUL IN SOME WAY THANKS FOR READING MY REVIEW,BYE.

New freeview recorder.....
2 of 2 found this helpful I wanted to give five stars the only thing is that it's slightly complicated at first,
Only compared to the previous freeview recorder,,
Which was a more expensive Sony,
I didn't read instructions,
Sort of worked it out as I went along (as usual),
I actually ordered the box for my mum and I had to show her round the box which was a bit difficult at times,
She is now quite pleased with it,
The boxes we had in the past had a better TV guide and was very pleased with the media player,
Plays both mp4 and mkv files and you can transfer files and store to the box,
The box has a very sharp picture compared to older
Boxes we owned,
One thing I'm not too keen on is that if you copy from USB card files to box it stores them somewhere else rather than with your tv recordings which is fine for me but, wasn't so easy to explain to mum,
The box as a bit more going on than were used to but all in all would recommend it as a media player and freeview recorder but haven't used it with WiFi,
And I did fined it a bit awkward to cancel a recording it's not that straight forward,
Hope I have helped and I wouldn't want to put anyone off from buying one at all,
It's the best box we have had and I would buy one for my self but maybe a 1TB version,
As value that depends on how long it lasts before mum needs a new one,
The last box lasted 3 maybe 4 years that's not long enough,
Expect longer with a bit of luck,
OK.....
