Nuts about nuts
These were not hazel nuts or walnuts but bright new bright steel nuts. They are applied by turning clockwise onto a 8mm threaded bolt. The nuts are identical with six flats on each nut running concentrically to the thread. Should the nut need to be tightened beyond the strength of the fingers an appropriate spanner can be applied to the flares, thus applying extra leverage to tighten the nut, turning the nut in a clockwise direction. I am satisfied with my purchase, although instructions were not enclosed!!😛
